Greetings Students and Parents!
This week's assignment was a graduation speech. Assignment #4 marked the culmination of our school year together. This was the last assignment given for the school year. The due date for the speech is Friday, May 8th.
The last week of school, May 11-15, will be devoted to make-up for those who need to complete missing assignments. No finals will be given this year, except for Dual Credit and AP classes. Dual credit English 132 will apply the Senior Research Project grade as a final exam where needed. In summary, Mrs. Martin will not be giving any final exams in any class.
Please check Infinite Campus for missing grades, especially for those grades that were entered before we left school in person. Be sure to complete any missing assignments noted on Infinite Campus. Grades for Quarter 4 will be posted on May 15th. All missing assignments must be submitted before that date for credit. Partial credit may be given for late assignments.
Closing thoughts
This year has been the most unique school year of our lives! Thank you for all your hard work, diligence, patience, and flexibility during this time. I have really missed seeing you each day and look forward to next year! May God bless you and keep you as you enjoy your summer. Please stay well and prosper under God's care. Enjoy your summer break!
Special parting thoughts to Seniors
This will be the most memorable senior year ever! You are a part of an incredible moment in history! Live well (Biblically), express yourself well (English stuff!), and we will all be looking years down the road to see what happened during this singular time (History stuff!). We will not only be looking at the stats (Math stuff!), but also at why people acted and reacted (Psychology and Sociology) as well as what should have been done ethically (Theology and Philosophy). We are really praying for a vaccine (Biology stuff!) Go and impact our world for the sake of Christ and keep on learning and growing for His glory!
Blessings,
Patricia Martin
