ALL CLASSES EXTRA CREDIT: FACETIME PRESENTATION
Mrs. Martin’s English and Reading students are invited to participate in creating 10-15-minute Facetime presentations for senior citizens living in assisted living facilities. This is a wonderful idea for how to help during our nation’s pandemic. These elders would love to hear from you! Perhaps these creations could be passed on to other facilities as well.
Please see below for the letter from Mrs. Moore. Consider your audience and choose a topic from the suggested list or other topic of interest for senior citizens. Let Mrs. Moore know you are interested by emailing using her address below. When you are finished with your facetime presentation, let me know your topic, number of minutes, and if possible, send me a link. Extra credit includes replacement on a quiz grade or 5% added to any test grade).
Do a good deed and have fun doing it!!

Regarding: Facetime presentations
Gabby is working in an assistive living in DC and her residents have been quarantined for a few weeks already - they are in desperate need of stimulation and entertainment. She was wondering if any of the SCS kids would like to get either some extra credit or community service by facetiming into their facility? She said they would love 10-15 minute online sessions on any of the following:
playing an instrument
reading poetry
story reading with basic discussion questions
Presentations on animals / flowers
Bible stories
health topics
history presentation
cooking presentation
????
If that is something kids might be willing to do, or teachers want to include in their homework, we will try to work out the technology.
Just let me know if there are any kids who might want to do this. Thanks!
